Such systems create enormous savings for those who build their own (or even pay someone to do it). Harnessing the wind and the sun for our power saves precious resources and cuts down on pollutants.
Personally, I sure like the idea of putting more money in my pocket instead of paying it to the power company. Some take it a step further, and let the power company pay them.
